Education Deans as Collaborative Leaders

Of all the decisions facing education deans, high on the list is the choice of a leadership model. Geiger suggests a collaborative approach, urging deans to cultivate input and craft harmony within and among the school, the university, and the organized teaching profession. He argues that collaboration offers the best opportunity to enhance recent suc cesses and at the same time focus resources on correcting failures.
