A Knowledge Base for Education: Cognitive Science

David H. Reilly

Reilly suggests that the knowledge base of education must be related to the mis sion of the schools and that to develop such a knowledge base requires a shift in emphasis to the cognitive processes utilized by students. The implications of such a shift on the organization of schools, teaching strategies, and teacher education curricula are dis cussed.
